This came from the time when I was photographing Buddhist sculpture and making self-portraits regularly. I had borrowed a Mamiya twin lens reflex camera from City College, and took it to Los Angeles where I photographed pieces in the County Musuem, learning afterwards that the camera had not been advancing, and the pictures from the museum were exposed on top of the self-portraits made prior to my trip.
